What’s New

  • Choose your dictation engine - in Settings → General → Dictation, pick Apple, or NVIDIA Parakeet (Mac), a free on-device model that transcribes 25 European languages and follows you when you switch languages mid-sentence.
  • Choose your dictation language - instead of always using the system language. Elvean downloads the speech model for it and shows the progress.
  • Newest Apple speech recognition - on macOS 26, voice input uses Apple’s newest on-device speech recognition.

Fixes

  • Text you dictated before a pause no longer disappears.
  • Stability fixes for the Claude provider that could cause crashes.
